Dog Trainer Mentoring

Vera Wilkinson is an amazing dog trainer and mentor. She has helped me as an owner struggling with two reactive dogs to now being my mentor in the CATCH Dog Trainer Academy. I am personally interested in helping dog owners with their own reactive dogs.  Vera has been instrumental on my path towards this goal in becoming a dog trainer. She gave me private lessons and then my dog and I attended her Rowdy Rovers class, which is the best in Boston. Now, as a student, she is showing me the ins and outs of the issue.

Vera has also helped me with a business decision. I was in the early stages of purchasing an existing pet service for a large sum of money. Vera counseled me on it.  I trust her opinion since she has worked with a lot of business people in the area and has been doing this for over 20 years. Her advice was spot on. I decided to learn more before I jump in. I want learn more about the industry and to have success working with all sorts of customers before taking the next step. My understanding of how to successfully interact with dog owners has improved by watching Vera’s classes. I recommend her services to anyone looking for help with their dogs or is interested in becoming a dog trainer. She is a valuable resource.

Dog Behavior Consulting Mentoring 

My career has spanned nearly two decades as a Bureau of Animal Protection Agent for the State of Colorado Bureau of Animal Protection, as the former Director of Animal Services of La Plata County in Colorado, and most recently, as a Certified Animal Behavior Consultant through the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants. I have had the honor and privilege to work with many other trainers, behavior specialists, consultants, and veterinarians.
